Do you know the Finnish Bar Association's marketing guidelines?

We do. The attorney role sets limits on marketing content and tone — for example, promises about outcomes can't be made, and the use of the attorney title has rules. We take these into account in every action and, if needed, sparring with the firm's own lawyers to ensure the interpretation is correct.

Can a law firm run Google Ads?

Yes, but with care. Advertising on general specialty terms is usually possible (e.g. "corporate counsel"), but making promises and certain content types are not. We generally recommend advertising as a support function, not the main channel — organic visibility and content are usually stronger tools in the legal field.

What if our partners have different views on marketing?

This is a common situation. We recommend starting with consulting (audit or strategy project) where the firm's growth strategy and the role of marketing are discussed. Shared understanding before decisions helps far more than trying to convince dissenting opinions on the fly.

Can we start without a big contract?
